Milo Hatfield
In his practice, he aims to explore the witty and contradicting. Delving into mixed projects across varied mediums, his work questions the necessity of practicality and aims to spark childlike joy in those that witness it. Dipped in melancholy, the light-heartedness of his work often hides a more bitter undertone. Entangling each piece with innuendos and symbolism, he invites the perceiver to take a moment of self-reflection and explore their own associations.
The serious and pensive remain no less significant than the silly and naive.
Milo Hatfield studies Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the Royal Academy of the Arts, The Hague and occasionally works in Luxembourg.
